March 25th, 2017
8:00am - 2:30pm
This event is an opportunity for youth to display their talents and skills in 9 different communication and arts categories. The festival is also a great chance for youth to experience and practice face-to-face judging in many categories and receive valuable feedback on their work. Review the general information and class details to see all the options and see the CAF webpage for more information including tip sheets and score sheets.
Most categories are judged at the event but posters and writing are judged ahead of time so you don’t need to actually be at the event. Youth don’t need to be enrolled in a particular project in order to participate so it’s a great opportunity to try out something new. Youth can try out Irish Dance during one of the two interactive workshops from 8:30-9:00 am or 9:30-10:00 am. There is no requirement to participate in any other part of the event to do the workshop.
Fast and easy sign up is being done through a Google Form. Enter your general information and select the categories you’d like to participate in. When done, select “submit” and you’ll receive a confirmation. If you need assistance, call the UW-Extension Office, 262-335-4478.
Registration closes Monday, March 6. Note poster and writing entries are due on March 6 as well. The same form is being used to register for the Irish Dance workshop (pre-registration is preferred, but not required for the workshop).
