“Do It Yourself”
This provides your club the opportunity to select any project you would like to do. You may have a speaker; tour a local site or museum, attend a Seminar, etc.
REMINDER TO CLUB SECRETARY
Remember to send a copy of your minutes to your Center Chairperson and to the UW Extension Office each month! See your HCE handbook for mailing information.
I do not go to a meeting merely to give my own ideas. If that were all, I might write my fellow members a letter. But neither do I go simply to learn other people’s ideas. If that were all, I might ask each to write me a letter. I go to a meeting in order that all together we may create a group idea, an idea which will be better than all of our ideas added together. For this group idea will not be produced by any process of addition, but by the interpenetration of us all. – Mary Parker Follett

| We are all longing to go home to some place we have never been — a place half-remembered and half-envisioned we can only catch glimpses of from time to time. Community. Somewhere, there are people to whom we can speak with passion without having the words catch in our throats. Somewhere a circle of hands will open to receive us, eyes will light up as we enter, voices will celebrate with us whenever we come into our own power. Community means strength that joins our strength to do the work that needs to be done. Arms to hold us when we falter. A circle of healing. A circle of friends. Someplace where we can be free. - Starhawk | |
