Adverse Childhood Experiences: The Impact of Trauma on Children

This workshop, presented by Washington County Social Workers Angela Moegenburg, MSW, APSW, & Samantha Vanderveren, MSW, APSW, will provide professionals with an understanding of the significant impact of trauma on children, as well as tools for working with children and their parents.
Topics will include:
*What are Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE)?
*Risk factors and impact on children
*Behaviors as a result of trauma
*Handling children who may have experienced trauma
*How to effectively communicate & work with parents
*Case examples from Washington County
*Making reports to Child Protective Services
The workshop will finish with a Question & Answer time. Professional attendees will receive 2 registry hours.
There is no cost to attend, but registration is requested by Tuesday, September 12.
