4-H Summer Camp at Upham Woods: Registration Open!!

Base Camp: for youth currently in grades 3-6

Washington County 4-H Summer Camp takes place at Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center near Wisconsin Dells on June 13-16, 2024. Campers will participate in a wide range of activities including archery, canoeing, hiking, campfires, crafts, games, and more! NOTE: family/camper orientation takes place Thursday, May 30, 6:30 – 8:30pm at Fair Park

Outpost Camp: for youth currently in grades 7 & 8

Outpost camp is an independent experience for 7th and 8th graders and takes place on the grounds of Upham Woods on June 13-16, 2024. During the day, Outpost campers will enjoy hikes, meals over a fire, canoeing/kayaking, swimming, education with an Upham Woods Naturalist, along with the Peanut Butter Mountain challenge course. Outpost campers will use the regular cabins and bathrooms used by all campers. Some activities, including evening recreation/campfire and some meals, will be shared with the Washington County youth campers. NOTE: family/camper orientation takes place Thursday, May 30, 6:30 – 8:30pm at Fair Park

4-H Members

  • Early bird price (register by March 22) for 4-H members is $160
  • Price for 4-H members registering between March 23 – April 5 is $175
  • Register on 4-H Online

Youth & Adult Volunteers Information

Adult Volunteers must be enrolled and approved in 4-H Online as an Overnight Chaperone, with all required volunteer trainings completed by April 11, 2024. 

Please note that attendance is required at the following Summer Camp training/orientation events:

  • April 11, 2024 New Camp Counselor Training (youth & adult)
    • 6:30pm, Public Agency Center, Room 3005
  • April 27, 2024 Camp Counselor Training Part 1
    • 8am-1pm, Public Agency Center, Room 1113 A/B
  • May 11, 2024 Camp Counselor Training Part 2
    • 8am-1pm, Public Agency Center, Room 1113 A/B
  • May 30, 2024 Family Orientation for Campers/Families
    • 6:30-8pm, Fair Park Pavilion, room 112
