Educational Programs

Pre-registration is required. Some programs are free of charge and others have a minimal fee to pay for materials or speakers.  To receive printed materials, you must register prior to the deadline and attend the educational presentation. Spaulding Clinical Tour – February 8, 2018

Have you ever wondered what the process is to develop pharmaceutical drugs safely? Spaulding Clinical has created an innovative approach to perform clinical studies that ensure safety and accurate data. The program will include a tour of the Spaulding Clinical state-of-the-art clinical testing facility in West Bend.

Exploring Places of Interest in Wisconsin – March 1, 2018

HCE Members will share their favorite travel locations throughout our beautiful state, offering travel tips and “must see” destinations. Perfect timing to help plan your spring, summer, and fall road trips!

International Meeting: Cuba – April 14, 2018

Join us as we travel south to learn about the Cuban culture and taste samples of the cuisine. We are fortunate to have two HCE members who have recently traveled to Cuba to share their first hand experiences.

Tour at Shalom Wildlife – October 4, 2018

10:00 A.M., Meet at Shalom Wildlife Center located at 1901 Shalom Drive, West Bend

Get ready to experience the great outdoors as we tour 100 acres of natural wildlife! Shalom is home to over 400 animals that are cared for daily. Shalom’s mission is to preserve the wilderness, while providing education, enjoyment and wildlife encounters in a natural ecosystem.

Casa Guadalupe – November 1, 2018

7:00 P.M., PAC, West Bend, Room 1113 A&B

Executive Director Noel Braun will share information about Casa Guadalupe. Through a combination of education and social services, Casa works to empower low-income, native-born and Spanish-speaking Latino families to live independent, successful lives, to build strong families and establish meaningful connections within their community.
